We Are An Absolutely Unique Samurai Sword Shop in Central Tokyo: For 38 years, We Have Collected and Sold Japanese Samurai Swords, Antique Katana, Mounted Samurai Swords, Japanese Swords, Tanto, Wakizashi, Jidai Tachi in Shirasaya or Full Koshirae and Full Edo Jidai Tachi and Samurai Sword Mounts.

This Tachi, as you can see, is a ko-kinko design with a Zodiac theme on the Kanagu; the mounts are circa 1500, very early for even ko-kinko, but the perfect condition lacquer black-on-black mon saya is of course later - the blade is a "named" blade meaning its previous Daimyo owner has affectionately named his prized sword.
No one here in Japan could decipher the meaning of the name yet- I very rarely show it - I mean to say, we can all read the characters, there are three of them, but no one is sure what they mean!
